omg i can actually make cookies without burning them

ok so im mega picky when it comes to cookies.. i only like oatmeal raisin, chewy sugar, and thin mints. oh and every time i try to make cookies they either burn or run together. so this time i was gunna figure outta cookie that was different and kinda burn proof?(if that even makes sense)so these are basically just these>> click with a big squeeze of pancake syrup and 1/2 cup extra flour.. although i should have added more flour cause the dough was still mega sticky even after being in the freezer for a couple hours(it never really hardened)... so to make 'em i just oiled my hands tore off a chunk of dough and quickly rolled em into balls then baked em at 375 for like 10(min?)i didn't time it cause "hey im no baker im just a mom who wanted some cookies."

*btw it totally looks like there is a cheshire cat in the top cookie*

choo choo

this is my most recent cake its thomas the train. it was for my moms friend he looks alot better than my other cakes. horray for experience lol. i dont remember what flavor the cake was though.

and since ya might find it useful...

marshmallow fondant

1 16oz pkg marshmallows
1 2lb pkg powdered sugar
1tsp water
1 microwave safe bowl
1 large bowl
oil/cooking spray
plastic wrap
gel food color

* place marshmallows in the microwave safe bowl, sprinkle with water and zap until melted stirring every 30 seconds
* pour the sugar in the large bowl, making a well in the center(for easier clean up leave a layer of powdered sugar on the bottom)
* add the melted marshmallows into the sugar well. fold the sugar to cover the top of the marshmallow and mix
* when the marshmallow has cooled and absorbed some of the sugar. oil/spray your hands and knead until most of the sugar has been absorbed into the marshmallow
* work fondant into a ball and wrap tightly in plastic wrap and allow to sit overnight in the fridge
* remove from fridge(mix in gel color if desired) sprinkle working surface with powder sugar and roll

brobee cake yay

this was my daughters first birthday cake. its brobee from yo gabba gabba. i really wish i had gotten pics of it but i was too busy(this pic is actually from my sisters camera). oh and that dude holding the cake is my brother hes in the dj lance costume my mom made for him(you can tell this was before they came out with the dj lance hat toy).

failed at being pretty cakes

ok so the first pic is the third eye from the aenima cd by tool. it was also my first time carving a cake/making and using fondant. so yeaa it was a complete failure like even the friend it was for never picked it up. i really want to remake this cake since i have gotten batter at covering and carving. im gunna try to dome the top and definitely roll the fondant out thinner.

the second pic supposed to be a les paul guitar. i think i did an awesome job carving/covering the body of it but i didn't have enough time to decorate the neck and i did a piss poor job at it. oh yea and its the size of a guitar hero guitar..(that sentence sounds odd)

pretty cake

my mom and my brother have birthdays that are a day apart so i combined their cake last year into the pretty one you see here. it's lemon(from a box yes i know i need to learn how to bake) with lemon icing covered in marshmallow fondant. this was like the 4th cake i covered in it(i wasn't too proud of the other ones and i didnt even take a pic of the 3rd maybed ill post em in one big post next) but yea it turned out really nice and i did a little sugar skull thats way cute.

who doesnt like veggies?

veggies about to be roasted to turn into spaghetti sauce. lol i learned alot trying to do this.. they totally ruined that baking sheet next time im gunna put em on parchment paper. oh and i'm also going to de-seed&peel the tomatoes before they turned the sauce a bit grainy.. i also need to get a sieve or something..

i am magic with potatoes

these were soo creamy and peppery it tasted like they had gravy on them. also yes that's the same meatloaf from the last post but seriously these needed their own post.

i could seriously eat this for the rest of my life and not care

i looovveee meatloaf and i have made it a bazillion different ways. this one was my favorite. it has crushed cornflakes, onion, green bellpepper, some grape simply fruit(yea fruit in meatloaf its good) and a tasty mix of hickory bbq sauce and ketchup on top for the glaze.
